Our client in Greenfield is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Counselor to join our team. As a Residential Counselor, you will play a vital role in providing support and guidance to individuals residing in our residential facility. Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct care and support to residents in a residential facility setting.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on residents' needs and goals.
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine residents' mental health status and progress.
  • Facilitate group and individual counseling sessions to address residents' emotional and behavioral issues.
  • Assist residents in developing and practicing essential life skills, including personal hygiene, time management, and budgeting.
  • Promote a safe and supportive environment for residents, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
  • Collaborate with other members of the treatment team, such as therapists, social workers, and medical professionals, to ensure comprehensive care.

 

Job Requirements

 

  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Knowledge of mental health disorders, treatment modalities, and crisis intervention techniques.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to establish rapport with residents and collaborate effectively with the treatment team.
  • Empathy, patience, and a non-judgmental approach when working with individuals facing mental health issues.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines.
  • First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain certification).
