Property Manager (Bilingual Spanish)

Worcester, MA

Job Overview:
Reporting to senior leadership in property management, this role involves overseeing a portfolio of residential units, ensuring compliance with housing regulations, managing property operations, and supervising a team. The position requires a hands-on approach to maintaining safe and affordable housing, addressing resident concerns, and fostering a positive work environment. This is a full-time, on-site role with standard weekday hours, with occasional after-hours requirements. Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate tenant interviews, apartment showings, and lease management.
  • Handle rent collection, financial transactions, and maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Oversee tenant compliance, including resolving disputes and attending hearings.
  • Conduct property and unit inspections to ensure cleanliness and maintenance standards.
  • Manage pest control schedules and waste removal to maintain sanitary conditions.
  • Supervise and train staff, fostering a collaborative and effective team environment.
  • Prepare and manage annual budgets, ensuring accuracy and accountability.
  • Generate and present periodic operational reports to leadership.

Additional Duties:

  • Address housing-related issues and participate in community meetings as needed.
  • Perform related tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management.

 

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree; Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least five years of experience in property management, with a focus on staff supervision.
  • Familiarity with housing regulations and landlord-tenant laws.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills; bilingual candidates preferred.
  • Certification in property management (or willingness to obtain upon hire) is a plus.
