Project Accountant

Job Title: Project Accountant (Construction)
Location: Framingham, MA

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Project Accountant to join a well-established construction management company in Framingham, MA. Reporting directly to the Division Controller, this role provides an excellent opportunity to support domestic and international projects in a dynamic and challenging environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee project accounting activities, including budget management, contract summaries, vendor and subcontractor payments, employee reimbursements, and monthly billings for time and materials.
• Manage financial processes for international operations, including currency conversions, cost accruals, and liaising with foreign tax experts.
• Set up new projects, budgets, and cost codes, and provide ad hoc reporting and analysis for operational and estimating teams.
• Reconcile accounts such as petty cash and address invoice discrepancies by coordinating with internal departments and external vendors.
• Prepare detailed weekly and monthly cash flow reports, including forecasts, reconciliations, and long-term analyses.
• Select invoices for weekly check runs and coordinate processing with the corporate finance team.
• Identify and implement cost-effective solutions to improve financial processes.
• Assist with internal and external audits and complete special accounting projects as assigned.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or finance.
• A minimum of two years of construction accounting experience is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of construction accounting principles, including payroll, invoicing, and auditing processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance.
• This role requires onsite presence in Framingham, MA.
