Procurement/Purchasing Specialist

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Procurement Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the procurement process, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services to support our organization's operations. The Procurement Specialist plays a critical role in sourcing, negotiating, and managing vendor relationships, while also ensuring compliance with internal policies and industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Procurement Process Management:

   • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and requirements.
   • Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery.
   • Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and maintain a robust supplier database.
   • Issue purchase orders and manage the procurement lifecycle from requisition to delivery.
   • Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise.

2. Vendor Sourcing and Evaluation:

   • Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
   • Negotiate favorable terms, conditions, and pricing agreements with suppliers.
   • Conduct supplier assessments and audits to ensure compliance with organizational standards.
   • Continuously monitor market trends and supplier capabilities to identify potential opportunities or risks.

3. Contract Management:

   • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and service agreements with suppliers.
   • Ensure contracts are aligned with organizational policies, legal requirements, and best practices.
   • Monitor contract performance and compliance throughout the procurement process.
   • Manage contract renewals, amendments, and terminations as necessary.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Procurement Specialist or in a similar procurement role.
• Strong knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and regulations.
• Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management software systems.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
