President/CEO

POSITION

Partnership Employment has been retained by the Better Business Bureau of Central New England Inc. Serving Central & Western MA & Northeastern CT to conduct a search for their next President/CEO. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional strategic thinking skills, proven leadership abilities, and a deep commitment to promoting ethical business practices within the local community. As the CEO, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Better Business Bureau of Central New England Inc. operations, facilitating strategic initiatives, managing relationships with stakeholders, and upholding our mission of promoting trust in the marketplace.

ABOUT BBB

The Better Business Bureau (BBB) is a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering a marketplace where buyers and sellers trust each other. Our mission is to promote ethical business practices, provide consumer education, and resolve marketplace disputes fairly. As the leading authority on marketplace trust, BBB has been protecting consumers and supporting ethical businesses for over a century. Today, close to 100 BBBs serve communities across the U.S. and Canada, evaluating and monitoring more than four million local and national businesses and charities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute long-term strategies that align with the BBB's mission, vision, and goals while ensuring growth and sustainability.
• Organizational Management: Oversee all aspects of daily operations, including budgeting, financial management, human resources, administration, program development, marketing initiatives, stakeholder engagement efforts.
• Partnership Development: Cultivate relationships with local businesses, government agencies, consumer advocacy groups, members of the media to promote collaboration, awareness and enhance organizational impact.
• Advocacy & Public Relations: Serve as an ambassador for the BBB by actively participating in public forums on topics related to consumer protection and ethical business practices.
• Team Building & Mentorship: Build a cohesive team by attracting top talent; providing guidance and development of staff members

• BA/BS required.  MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred
• Proven experience as a CEO or executive level leader with a passion for upholding business ethics and promoting consumer trust.
• An energetic, forward-thinking, and creative Leader with high ethical standards
• A strategic visionary with sound analytical ability, good judgement, and strong operational focus
• A well-organized and self-directed individual who is “politically savvy” and a team player
• An articulate individual who can relate to people at all levels of an organization and possesses excellent communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to develop effective strategies that drive organizational growth
• Track record of successful partnership development & stakeholder management
• Proficient in financial management, budgeting, and resource allocation
