Payroll Coordinator
Job Description
We are working with a well established nonprofit organization here in Worcester that is actively searching to hire a Payroll Coordinator that'll support both the accounting and the HR department.
As the Payroll Coordinator, you will be responsible for processing multi-state payroll and maintaining compliance with all payroll regulations. You will also be responsible for tracking and reporting vacation time and PFML. This is a great opportunity with a few years of payroll experience to learn and grow within an accounting team of 7!
Responsibilities
- Review and process timesheets and expense reports while ensuring compliance to internal and external policies and regulations.
- Maintain compliance with current multi-state payroll laws and liabilities regarding federal, state, local regulations, retirement, social security, garnishments, workers’ compensation, unemployment, etc.
- Calculate and analyze reports for wages, benefits, deductions, taxes, etc. and make necessary corrections.
- Complete payroll process and submission bi-weekly.
- Reconcile accrued vacation liability.
- Responsible for working on bi-weekly payroll GL import, reviewing for accuracy, and posting in MIP.
- Collect & verify new or changed employee information processed by Human Resources.
