EHS Specialist
Salem, NH | $60K-$85K + Bonus | Full-Time
Manufacturing organization seeking an Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist to lead safety programs, compliance initiatives, and employee training across facility operations. Occasional travel to nearby Manchester, NH site may be required for support or emergencies.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain OSHA-compliant safety programs (LOTO, HAZCOM, PPE, etc.)
- Conduct employee safety training and ongoing shop floor “toolbox talks”
- Manage OSHA reporting (300 logs, TIER II, incident reporting, etc.)
- Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis
- Oversee workers’ compensation coordination with HR
- Conduct safety audits, inspections, and corrective action follow-up
- Maintain SDS logs, chemical inventory, and EHS compliance records
- Serve as EHS committee lead and liaison with leadership and regulators
- Support emergency preparedness and facility safety initiatives
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and federal/state safety regulations
- Experience in EHS, manufacturing, or industrial safety preferred
- Ability to develop and deliver training programs
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, reporting tools)
- OSHA 10/30 preferred; ASP/CSP a plus
