Position Overview:
An innovative and rapidly growing biopharmaceutical company in Marlborough, MA is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Analyst to join its finance team. This is a high-visibility role that supports strategic decision-making through budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights.
Job Requirements
Key Responsibilities:

Partner with business leaders to develop budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis

Prepare monthly financial reports and dashboards for executive leadership

Conduct financial modeling to support product development, clinical trials, and capital planning

Analyze operating expenses, headcount, and capital expenditures across departments

Identify trends, risks, and opportunities in financial performance

Support quarterly board reporting and investor presentations

Assist with cost tracking related to R&D, manufacturing, and commercialization activities

Maintain and enhance financial planning tools and systems (Excel, ERP, or FP&A platforms)

Participate in the annual budget process and long-range planning
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (MBA or CPA a plus)

2–5 years of financial analysis or FP&A experience; biotech/pharma experience strongly preferred

Advanced Excel skills (modeling, pivot tables, lookups, etc.)

Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) or FP&A tools (e.g., Adaptive Insights, Anaplan)

Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities

Excellent communication and presentation skills

Team player with the ability to work cross-functionally in a dynamic environment
