Perks of the Independent Living Specialist: working in the FIELD - 2 days a week with mileage reimbursement and ADMIN - 3 days in the office. What a great balance to your week!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide information and support on disability-related topics and Independent Living (IL) Services
  • Conduct intake assessments and develop personalized Independent Living Plans (ILPs)
  • Offer skills training based on approved curricula and individual goals
  • Maintain accurate consumer records and follow up on referrals
  • Advocate for consumers and educate the community on disability issues

 

Job Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of disability issues and commitment to Independent Living Philosophy
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Experience working with individuals with diverse disabilities
  • Strong commitment to confidentiality and professionalism
