Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Clerk with multi-state experience, excel, and Bambo HR to work part time – 10 hours per week. Hybrid schedule - 3 days a week with 1 day in office

Job responsibilities:

  • Prepare and process bi-weekly payroll for over 150 employees across multiple US states, review and ensure accuracy of approved timesheets; track and deduct all garnishments and other special payroll deductions
  • Maintain employee records; ensure that employee changes are entered correctly and made on a timely basis; review changes for proper authorization and adherence to company policy including compliance with federal/state/local regulations
  • Prepare and distribute detailed reports, e.g., labor hours, overtime, leave balances, head count, and retirement contribution reports
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly and annual filings and reporting (i.e., 941’s, W-2’s, etc.)
  • Respond to and resolve any inquiries
  • Other duties as assigned


Job Requirements


  • 3 years of experience in a senior Payroll position
  • Associate Degree in Business Administration/Accounting preferred
  • Strong computer skills, experience with Bambo HR
  • Multi state processing experience required
  • Excellent problem solving/judgment skills, and high level of attention to detail and accuracy around complex data
  • Strong organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet all deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, extremely organized, flexible, self-starter
