Job Description

The HR/LR Manager will act as the principal HR business partner at a unionized production site. This role involves spearheading essential HR strategic and operational projects, encompassing employee and labor relations, hiring, performance management, and employee development. The role also involves an indirect reporting line to the Chief Human Resources Officer and participation in broader corporate HR initiatives. A crucial aspect of this position is providing HR advisory services to the plant general manager and staff.

Labor Relations Responsibilities:

  • Providing economic and wage data for negotiation preparations.
  • Negotiating and drafting labor agreements, interpreting and administering contracts concerning employee compensation, benefits, grievances, and other contract management areas.
  • Working professionally with local union representatives and resolving grievances at the local level.
  • Leading labor contract negotiation activities at the facility and supporting National Table Bargaining.
  • Acting as a mediator between plant management and union leadership to address issues related to labor agreements and established policies.
