Finance Manager – $75K–$100K + Bonus | Nonprofit | Hyannis, MA

Are you a finance professional looking to combine your accounting expertise with a mission-driven organization that makes a real impact in the community? We’re partnering with a highly respected nonprofit serving veterans across Cape Cod and the Islands to hire their next Finance Manager — the #1 Finance and Accounting role in the organization.

This is a full-time, on-site leadership position in Hyannis, MA (with limited flexibility once established). You’ll work directly with the Executive Director and leadership team to oversee all aspects of financial management, compliance, and strategic planning.


Position Highlights

  • Salary: $75,000–$100,000 (based on experience)

  • Bonus: Small annual performance bonus

  • Schedule: Full-time, on-site in Hyannis (some flexibility after onboarding)

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all accounting and finance operations for the organization.

  • Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures in accordance with GAAP.

  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and reports.

  • Manage cash flow, budgeting, and compliance with financial regulations.

  • Collaborate with the Executive Director and Board Finance Committee to support organizational goals.

  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Coordinate audits, manage risk, and ensure accurate recordkeeping.

  • Develop and implement enterprise risk management systems.

  • Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to leadership.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of progressive nonprofit accounting experience.

  • Proven leadership and team management skills.

  • Proficiency with QuickBooks and advanced Excel capabilities.

  • Strong understanding of GAAP, budgeting, forecasting, and audit processes.

  • Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational abilities.

  • Mission-driven mindset with integrity, collaboration, and passion for community impact.
