Job Description:
Our client has an immediate need for a mid-level DevSecOps and assisting with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) operations for a team of Microsoft-based full-stack developers.  You will be responsible for all aspects of building, operating, and maintaining Ansible automation logic for Windows Server Lifecycle Management (deployment to termination).  Candidates will need expertise with Windows Server system administration, automating Windows Server lifecycles with Ansible, and Amazon Web Services.  Expertise with operating .Net / C# applications and their supporting systems, such as IIS is also required.  Finally, a strong understanding of CI/CD concepts and experience with tools such as Jenkins, SonarQube, Selenium, and Nexus Repository is necessary to function in this role.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Provision, Configure, & De-Provision Windows Servers via Ansible Automation
Provide Technical Support and Guidance Regarding Windows Lifecycle Automation
Manage System Backups & Imaging
Keep Base Images Patched & Base Software Updated
Configure Monitoring & Logging as Needed
Maintain System Security & Assist with Authorizations 
Build and Maintain Jenkins Jobs for Team
Assist in Building and Maintaining Test Systems and Scripts
Assist with AWS and Tool Automation (Platform Team Support)
 

Required Skills:
Microsoft Certified System Administrator or similar certification
AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional desired
High level of technical skill specifically focused on working within the Windows operating system, the applications it supports, and standard CI/CD tools. 
Experience with the aforementioned tools, and the below skills, will be critical to getting started with an already up and running team and really excel in this role.

  • Server administration – A high level of technical knowledge regarding Windows server setup, deployment, and maintenance.  Linux experience necessary, as well
  • Microsoft domain – knowledge of Microsoft Group Policy, Active Directory, and their implications on running systems
  • Coding and scripting – capability in coding and scripting is vital in this role. Engineers are frequently needed to work directly with server / tool code.  Examples: Groovy, Python, C#
  • Information security – advanced understanding of best practices and techniques to maintain and enhance system and information security
  • Communication skills – capability to work between multiple teams and articulate deliverables, needs, and blockers very clearly
  • Problem-solving – ability to work in a complex cloud-based environment with Windows and Linux operating systems, as well as commercial and custom build software
