Overview:
We are a large, well-established manufacturing and distribution company located near Littleton, MA, seeking a detail-oriented Cost Analyst to join our Finance team. This expansion position is open due to strong company growth and increasing operational demand. The company is currently performing at a high level and offers a dynamic environment with the opportunity to make a real impact.
As a Cost Analyst, you’ll play a key role in analyzing manufacturing and supply chain performance, monitoring cost trends, and providing actionable insights to drive efficiency and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze manufacturing KPIs and cost drivers to support decision-making across operations, finance, and supply chain teams
- Monitor and report on financial performance across the supply chain, identifying variances and opportunities for improvement
- Build and maintain cost models and dashboards using Power BI and Excel to support real-time analytics and reporting
- Collaborate with production, logistics, and procurement teams to understand business activities and their financial impacts
- Conduct monthly and quarterly cost reviews, including standard cost updates, variance analysis, and inventory valuation
- Support budgeting and forecasting efforts by modeling cost projections and evaluating operational efficiency
- Identify and communicate financial risks and opportunities related to cost and production trends
- Assist with process improvement initiatives related to financial controls, inventory management, and cost allocation
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in cost analysis, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing KPIs, cost accounting principles, and supply chain operations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience creating dynamic dashboards in Power BI highly preferred
- Ability to translate complex data into clear insights and recommendations
- Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and communication skills
- Experience working cross-functionally in a fast-paced, operational setting
