Job Description

Our client, a private school located north of Ware, MA, is searching for a new Controller to join their business office and serve as a right hand to their CFO.

In this position, you'll be a key resource to the CFO during the month & year end close, and will play a large part in budgeting and forecasting while supporting the day to day accounting operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable posting and reporting to ensure timely, accurate information.
  • Facilitate timely monthly close, review and prepare financial reports ensuring budget variances properly investigated.
  • Prepare worksheets and files as needed for annual audit.
  • Assist CFO with budgeting and forecasting.
  • Payroll: Input, reconcile and ensure timely distribution of payroll. Remit appropriate Federal and State tax withholding and other filings as needed. Ensure timely production of W-2’s, 1099’s, etc.
