Seeking an experienced Controller for international manufacturer located in Goodlettsville, TN.  This position will report to the US President and will be responsible for managing the Accounting Department and financial related policies and procedures of the company.  This position will consult with the Senior Management team and make recommendations for improvements.  The selected candidate will ensure accurate internal and external recording and reporting of financial transactions for the USA and South America.  Oversees budgeting, general ledger, cash management, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, fixed asset management, and financial reporting. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES

  • Development and implementation of effective accounting strategies, policies, and procedures.
  • Effective preparation, maintenance, and reporting of internal and external financial records and analyses.
  • Oversee daily operations and perform managerial functions for the Accounting department.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication and coordination with company personnel, departments, and management.
  • Establish and maintain effective business relations external auditors and regulators, and professional trade groups.
  • Establish and maintain key controls to ensure internal control of financial processes and accuracy of reporting figures.

 

 

  • 5-10 years’ experience with international accounting
  • Degree Require: Accounting, Finance, Business or related; Accounting certification preferred
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency
  • Capable of efficiently and effectively handling multiple projects concurrently.
  • Organized and skilled at following through and getting the job done.
  • Strong computer literacy; able to learn new software and systems quickly.
  • Strong communications skills, both written and oral.
  • Self-motivated professional with leadership, management, and mentoring skills.
  • Strong analytical and logical mind to produce sound presentations for decision-making.
  • Motivated by the opportunity to learn, design, develop, and implement new processes.
  • Skilled in utilizing all available resources to reach goals and objectives on time and on budget.
  • Team player who works well with others in cross-functional areas and at all levels of an organization.
  • IFRS experience preferred.
