Compliance Manager

We are currently seeking an autonomous, well-organized Regional Compliance Manager.
The Compliance Officer's mission is to ensure that is conducting its business in full compliance with all national and international laws and regulations that pertain to its particular industries, as well as professional standards, accepted business practices, and internal standards.

In this highly visible role, the key responsibilities of the Regional Compliance Manager will be:
. Implement:
. Implement, in the Region, the compliance program, supporting the business units and setting common compliance priorities and standards for the region businesses
. Take responsibility to ensure that each business units located in the Region implement the elements of the required compliance policies, taking into account local regulations if they are stricter
. Take responsibility to ensure that business units in the Region implement local regulations which are not addressed in any of the required compliance policies
. Train:
. Ensure that employees in the Region are knowledgeable about legal, regulatory and policy requirements, aware of new risks, and committed to culture of compliance
. Takes responsibility for rolling-out in the Region the Group compliance policies and train staff appropriately
. Roll-out compliance communication and training actions for management and/or employees
. Control:
. Identify and evaluate the non-compliance risk at region and/or country level
. Develop and oversee control systems to prevent or deal with violations of regulations and internal policies
. Evaluate the efficiency of controls and improve them continuously
. Ensure Level 1 controls on compliance are carried out in accordance with Group and international professional standards
. Carry out Level 2 controls on compliance in accordance with Group and international professional standards
. Follow up the effective implementation of audit recommendations within the established timeframe
. Remediate:
. Lead remedial actions to address identified compliance/regulatory breaches
. Identify and correct the root causes of compliance weaknesses
. Ensure long-term sustainability of implemented remediation actions
. Report:
. Notify Chief Compliance Director and Region management on compliance breaches. Document agreed-upon remedial actions
. Report on results and findings of controls and, where required, an Action Plan
. Conduct/participate to the compliance network activities through ad-hoc tools
. Prepare reports for senior management and regulatory authorities, whenever required
. Advise:
. Ensure region regulatory watch. Keep abreast of regulatory developments and evolving best practices in compliance control
. Assist the Region management on business ethics and financial security issues (e.g. money laundering, terrorism, corruption, frauds); Provide compliance advice for new products and/or distribution channels

. Manage:
- Provide direction for the Region-wide compliance program, in conjunction with Chief Compliance Director
- Drive goal setting and performance management of staff under Compliance supervision


Technical Requirements
. Insurance and/or banking industry experience
. Knowledge of specificities for credit insurance and its regulations

Functional Requirements
. Strong expertise in compliance (e.g. AML/KYC/Sanctions, business ethics, personal data, fraud,...)
. Strong expertise in OFAC regulations
. Strong management skills and execution focus
. Experience with investigations and regulatory issues
. Knowledge of process and program design and implementation
