Reports to: Executive Leadership Team

Management Responsibilities:
Oversees teams responsible for finance, purchasing, and grants management, ensuring adherence to organizational policies and legal requirements. Duties include recruitment, staff development, performance management, and resolving employee concerns.

Role Overview:
This is a strategic and hands-on leadership role responsible for directing all financial operations, including budgeting, reporting, forecasting, asset oversight, and risk management. The position involves collaborating with senior leaders to establish long-term financial strategies, managing a substantial budget, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations. The financial leader serves as a key advisor to organizational leadership, providing strategic guidance and actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise financial processes, including revenue collection, debt financing, payroll, asset control, and audits.
• Develop and implement financial strategies, with oversight of accounting, procurement, budgeting, and grants.
• Deliver financial insights and performance updates to leadership and advisory committees.
• Create financial forecasts and work with external consultants to develop cost-efficient plans.
• Monitor operating and capital budgets in partnership with senior leadership.
• Ensure compliance with policies for expenditures, revenue management, and auditing procedures.
• Act as a liaison with governmental and regulatory entities regarding financial operations.
• Uphold adherence to organizational policies on equal opportunity, anti-harassment, and anti-discrimination.
• Oversee financial audits and relationships with external auditors.
• Manage and ensure compliance for retirement and benefits programs.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with at least 10 years of senior financial management experience.
• Proven success in managing large budgets and complex financial systems.
• Knowledge of federal and state financial reporting and grant administration requirements.
• Experience preparing financial statements and overseeing audits.
• Access to reliable transportation or a valid driver’s license.
