Job Title: Associate Attorney – Family Law, Criminal, or Civil Litigation
Location: Worcester
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and talented Associate Attorney to join a dynamic law firm in Worcester. Specializing in family law, criminal law, and civil litigation, we handle a diverse range of cases and offer a collaborative environment where attorneys can grow their skills. This position is ideal for recent law school graduates who have passed the bar and are eager to gain hands-on litigation experience, or for attorneys with a few years of experience looking to advance their careers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in family law, criminal law, or civil litigation cases.
- Prepare and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and correspondence.
- Appear in court regularly, presenting cases effectively and professionally before judges and opposing counsel.
- Conduct legal research and analyze case law, statutes, and regulations.
- Engage in client consultations, providing clear and empathetic guidance on legal matters.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex cases and strategy development.
- Manage case files and ensure timely communication with clients.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the MA Bar in good standing.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent courtroom presence and the ability to confidently advocate for clients.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously.
- A proactive approach to learning and professional development.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience (internships, clerkships, or practice) in family law, criminal law, or civil litigation.
- Demonstrated ability to handle court appearances effectively.
