Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead external audit activities including timely provision of audit schedules as required.
  • Lead operational activities for compliance with internal control procedures and requirements.
  • Lead the activities of the accounting department for accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports including, but not limited to, financial statements, bank compliance and annual audits,
  • Responsible for internal controls and segregation of duties for the accounting group (AP, Payroll, AR, Corporate accounting, and Operation accounting)
  • Lead and drive annual 401k audit
  • Monitor and directs the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Accounting, and Reporting Standard Work
  • Monitor the Finance Team line balance and standard work on a weekly basis.
  • Responsible for the training and development of all members of the Finance Team.
  • Lead process improvement efforts and play a key role in financial systems implementations
  • Assist in the administration of banking systems
  • Leads the monthly closing, financial reporting, and analysis in a compressed day -5 to +3 reporting cycle.
  • Prepare complex journal entries
  • Oversees all account reconciliations to ensure they completed on a timely basis
  • Perform variance analysis for balance sheet and income statement and other various statistical analysis
  • Monitor weekly financial trends including production variances.
  • Analyzes and reports on budget vs actual expense performance
  • Lead with Manager Cost & Pricing the preparation of financial data for quarterly business unit presentations
  • Lead monthly financial reviews with Core and Operation Leadership teams
  • Develop business analyses to help identify areas to improve financial performance and support business decision making.
  • Help identify and drive & productivity and investment programs
  • Lead forecasts and annual budgets consistent with company objectives and ERP systems
  • Own finance master data maintenance in SAP (GL accounts, cost centers, etc.…)
  • Coordinate and facilitate adoption of new accounting guidance
  • Assists with system process improvements and ERP upgrades
  • Performs other related duties and special projects as assigned by supervisor
  • Act on behalf of Sr. Director of Finance as directed.

Job Requirements

Key Requirements

  • Requires an excellent understanding of standard business practices related to Accounting (Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Invoicing), Sales Operations (Proposal, Orders, Forecasting, Inventory Management (Purchasing, Scheduling, Order Fulfillment)
  • Must be able to handle complex, non-routine accounting problems
  • Advanced understanding of accounting concepts and GAAP
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Advanced ERP skills, (SAP)
  • Strong analytical skills, excellent attention to details
  • Ability to effectively manage people and projects.
  • Identify problems and implement solutions for various areas including: internal controls and KSNA data integrity and reporting.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or other related discipline
  • CPA preferred
  • 5-7 years direct experience, 2+ years in Manufacturing environment
  • 7-10 years supervisory experience required.
  • Audit experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with SAP or equivalent scale ERP system is essential.
  • Previous project management experience required.
