Job Title: Assistant Controller
Job Description:
We are offering an exciting career opportunity for an Assistant Controller with a clear path to becoming the Controller. This role provides a unique chance to work closely with the current Controller through their audit until May 2025, receiving comprehensive mentorship and guidance to ensure a smooth transition into the Controller position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the current Controller to understand the audit process and overall financial operations.
- Create and maintain standard reporting and analysis framework to support management decision making process
- Manage any ad-hoc reporting requests as needed
- Participate in month end closing by preparing the monthly report, actual vs budget vs forecast with variance, and provide the analysis for any variance
- Serve as the technical accounting resource by documenting and reviewing technical accounting assessments and conclusions, in memos for management and auditors
- Support the annual budgeting and monthly forecasting process and validate reports which need to be provide within a timely manner
- Lead and manage a team consisting of 3 direct and 6 indirect reports.
- Ensure compliance with annual audit and regulatory reporting
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- CPA certification is required.
- Strong background in accounting, with a focus on audits and regulatory reporting.
- Proven leadership skills and the ability to manage a team effectively.
