Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Assistant Controller with a robust background in project/construction accounting to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee an Accounting Manager and two project accountants, ensuring the financial success and integrity of our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the accounting team, including an Accounting Manager and two project accountants.
- Oversee project accounting activities, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Assist in the preparation and review of financial statements and management reports.
- Monitor and enforce internal controls, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Collaborate with project managers to provide financial insights and support for ongoing projects.
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Support the Controller in various financial and accounting initiatives.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
- Strong background in project/construction accounting.
- Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
