Job Title: Area Manager – Facilities Services

Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and results-driven Area Manager to oversee and manage facility service operations in the Newark, NJ area. This role requires a hands-on leader who is comfortable working long hours and thrives in a fast-paced environment. The Area Manager will coordinate subcontractor activities, ensure customer satisfaction, and maintain operational excellence across multiple accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Customer Relationship Management:

  • Respond to customer requests and complaints with a sense of urgency to ensure satisfaction.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with all accounts.
  • Attend key account meetings to represent the company and address client needs.

• Subcontractor Coordination:

  • Manage and assign project work to appropriate subcontractors using tools such as Google Calendar and WhatsApp groups.
  • Provide clear project descriptions, including work orders, dates, and all necessary data to ensure successful completion.
  • Maintain regular communication with subcontractors to monitor progress and resolve issues.

• Account Oversight and Reporting:

  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all accounts within your portfolio.
  • Participate in daily conference calls prepared to discuss account status and operational updates.
  • Ensure accounts are managed efficiently, meeting deadlines and service standards.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in facilities services or a related industry, with a strong background in managing subcontractors.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships with clients and contractors.
• Proficient in scheduling and coordination tools, such as Google Calendar and WhatsApp.
• Self-motivated, with the ability to work long hours and adapt to changing priorities.
