Newly created position in commercial lending department for growing local community bank:

The Commercial Lending Assistant reports to the Senior Vice President, Chief Lending Officer, and is responsible for all administrative duties of the commercial lending team. The Commercial Lending Assistant will work closely with the Chief Lending Officer, Commercial Lending Officers and Loan Administration staff to support all commercial loan processes.


  • The Commercial Lending Assistant’s primary responsibility is to support the Chief Lending Officer with customer follow-up, screening emails and phone calls, scheduling appointments, processing expense reports, as well as other administrative duties as required.
  • The Commercial Lending Assistant is also responsible for supporting the commercial lenders with customer requests
  • Responding to loan status inquiries, obtaining financial documentation from prospective loan customers, preparation of letters of intent, and other customer correspondence.
  • Other responsibilities include liaising the loan closing process with the Loan Administration group, clearing up any post-closing exceptions, and recording of minutes for all loan committee meetings.


Key Qualifications:

  • Experience in Commercial Loan Administration;
  • Ability to review legal documentation, title reports, insurance policies, flood certificates
  • B.A. or B.S. or minimum of five years’ experience in banking or a related environment preferred
