Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist – Healthcare Setting

A stable nonprofit healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to support resident billing, collections, and Medicaid/Medicare reimbursement processes.
Responsibilities
- Manage accounts receivable and perform weekly collection activities
- Communicate with residents and families regarding balances and payment options
- Prepare Medicare, Medicaid, private pay, and insurance billing
- Post resident payments and resolve account discrepancies
- Assist with Medicaid redeterminations and financial documentation
- Maintain resident financial files and records
- Ensure accurate and timely billing and collections
Qualifications
- Nursing home / long-term care AR experience required
- Strong knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, and private pay billing
- Experience with collections and resident account management
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to communicate professionally with families and residents
- Comfortable working in a regulated healthcare billing environment
