Job Description

 

The ideal individual should be able to focus on personal sales targets, new business development, maintaining customer relationships and market knowledge/ experience in transportation industry.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Generate new customer base through daily cold calling
  • Up-sell, build, maintain and manage existing customer accounts
  • Generate leads through shipper & consignee sales
  • Customer networking for back haul coverage
  • Communicate information timely and accurately
  • Identify and execute revenue enhancing strategic partnerships
  • All other duties as assigned

 

 

Job Requirements

This position requires an energetic, personally motivated and results driven professional. Must be a team player with a positive attitude and good communication skills. Looking for a highly motivated individual with experience in the logistics industry.

Required Skills, Characteristics, and Experience:

  • Proven track record of building book of business with RFP, spot, and expedited critical freight
  • Established presence in the market place preferred
  • 3+ years in logistics/transportation preferred
