Sr. Automation Technician

Partnership Employment is looking for a Sr. Automation Technician local to the Alameda, CA area! This is a wonderful permanent opportunity that will be responsible for the repair, upgrades/improvements and maintenance to the distribution centers automation equipment.

 

Day-To-Day Responsibilities Include:

· Manage inventory of necessary spare parts, supplies and miscellaneous products related to repair and maintenance of the automation equipment

· Works with IT department as needed on applications and maintenance of technical infrastructure

· Provide weekly status report on work orders, proposals and projects.

· Troubleshoot PLC’s and other electrical controls as needed

· Routine and preventative maintenance on Hytrol conveyor system

· Learns and understands WCS system for troubleshooting

· Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical and other engineering diagrams

· Coordinate outside contractors to ensure that all upkeep, maintenance and repairs are completed in an efficient and

· Develop and manage predictive maintenance programs for the automation equipment

Required Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in lieu of a degree

· photo-eyes, and associated electrical and pneumatic equipment

· 2+ years’ experience in an equipment maintenance role in a distribution center, fulfillment center or automated manufacturing environment

· Effectively articulates thoughts and ideas. Identifies problems, analyzes root causes and evaluates appropriate solutions prior to taking or recommending actions. Follows up to ensure prompt/appropriate action is taken and that problems are resolved.

· Respond to after-hours emergency calls as necessary.

· Hands-on experience with mechanical, electro-mechanical and pneumatic equipment

· Excellent communication skills, written and verbal

· Ability to manage projects and timelines

Physical Demands

· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, bend, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The employee must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds (safety/weight belt provided, if requested). Specific vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus is required
