Purchasing Assistant

Partnership Employment is looking for a Purchasing Assistant local to the Westchester/Fairfield County area. Daily responsibilities will include creating purchase orders, verifying funding for allotted budgets, reviewing and approving/denying requisitions and proposals and communicating with all parties involved with the POs. The ideal candidate will want to serve as the liaison for the department. Must be efficient, able to communicate quickly and effectively in a time-sensitive manner, and able to work under strict deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications Include:

  • Must be willing to serve alongside Accounts Payable and Purchasing in order to reconcile any open or unresolved vendor statements
  • Comfortable following up on unpaid/paid purchase orders while generating reports in a time sensitive and tactful manner
  • Ability to assist with pricing and sourcing
  • Experience maintaining office records (Excel, SAP, ERP, SPSS, QuickBooks, MS Office)
  • Strong Ability to handle and resolve conflict, confrontation and sensitive information in an accurate manner
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (Phone, E-mail, Remote)
  • Bachelor’s Degree
